Memphis is known for being a city of hospitality, and our gathering place sits along a more than five-mile stretch of Walnut Grove without a public space to stop and enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend, to gather in a space designed for work or to hold a business conference or social event .
The Front Porch is designed to be an interfaith gathering place where people are invited to connect over food and drink, over ideas and action, over community service and social entrepreneurship.
The Front Porch will expand relationships with local social enterprises and incorporate a store within the building, Second Helpings Café, where you can enjoy refreshments and buy products of purpose, all designed to tell stories of community.
The Front Porch will have an event space for up to 99 people, meeting rooms and office space available to the community for use. These spaces can be used for business meeting, conferences, wedding receptions, bible studies, service club meeting, etc.
The Front Porch will also have an outdoor concert venue available. This space will be used to bring the Arts to the Memphis community.
The Front Porch will be a place where all are welcome just as they are; a place for our community to connect to each other, learn from each other and grow together. A place where we can Rest, Renew and Restore.
The Front Porch will hold monthly events to bring people together. Whether it is a concert, game night, motivational speakers, or more, our goal is to create a center for community, to make meaningful connections, to find peace and know this is a place where someone is expecting you.
